Football Manager 2005 is a football management simulation game. It is Sports Interactive's first game in the Football Manager series since leaving the Championship Manager name behind.
The game is also known as Worldwide Soccer Manager 2005 in North America.
The retail CD is a hybrid Mac/PC disc, but we only have an image of the Mac version of the game.
The 1st download is an official disc image containing version 5.0
The 2nd download updates the game and its data to version 5.0.3
The 3rd download updates the game and its data to version 5.0.5. It is codenamed Strawberry and appears to be the last full update provided by Sports Interactive.
The 4th download is a patched version 5.0.5 of the FM2005 application that does not require an original CD-ROM to play. Move it into the game folder after applying the updates and run it to play the game.
The 5.0.5 updater can be applied directly to the virgin install of version 5.0, but for some reason the FM Data Editor does not seem to update properly. The solution is to apply the 5.0.3 updater before applying the 5.0.5 updater.
After the installation and application of the updaters, the game will probably present in the Czech language. To change the language to English (for example) click in the following order:
